Happy holiday days!
As a family business, we like to go to shutdown mode this time of year and take a little time away from the computer, packing and shipping. We will not be shipping orders between December 23rd. and 30th. Please place your order by noon on the 22nd to have it go out before our break.
You are welcome to place an order at any time at Bright Star Baby. All orders placed during our shutdown period will ship out starting on December 31.
New store open!
The section for diaper sewing supplies will directed from Bright Star Baby to the new store by the end of the year, and in fact all of the diaper sewing inventory is already available at the new Diaper Sewing Supplies store. We have much more to list than is currently on the site, so please check back. We will keep adding in the weeks and months to come.

Our diapers were on TV!
A cloth diapering mom, Juliane, wrote in to her local news station and got cloth diapers featured in a short segment.
http://www.wfmj.com/global/category.asp?c=179433&clipId=5351058&topVideoCatNo=127724&autoStart=trueAlthough the diaper brands she is using are not mentioned in the piece, in the first shot Juliane's baby is wearing a Nantucket plaid, and in the last shot a Turtle Friends All in One Diaper by Fishnoodles.
It's great to see cloth diapers promoted on a community level. Even if the piece sought to be "balanced" and the pediatrician does not think there are any health benefits (too bad we can't leave comments!) - perhaps this story will give at least a few parents the idea that cloth diapers are a great option because they work so well and look so cute!

Why we make cloth diapers:
Every baby is an opportunity to make a difference.
Families that choose to use cloth
- save money,
- limit the waste they put in landfills, and
- give baby the most comfortable start in life.
Our mission is to support cloth diapering families by making great diapers. We believe high quality diapers that fit well and look adorable motivate families to use cloth - and that can literally change the world.
